Our challenge on this project was to design a facade for this building that would be approved by the Department of Historic Preservation in Washington DC. Once the facade was built for this new loft development we were then faced with applying a surface treatment that would achieve a vintage look suitable to meet the historic requirements. Samples were approved and the treatments were successfully applied. The project also included the restoration of gold leaf ceiling details which had sustained damage over time.
