Storybook Tudor: Long Beach, CA (2009)

This residential renovation saw a major transformation in the use of space, usability and period treatments in the kitchen, bathrooms and all other areas of the home. We were committed to an attention to detail in preserving the original look of the home by embellishing the Tudor style with stain glass windows, revival style tile, and a reproduction Batchelder fireplace. Here are two noteworthy facts about this project:

Scope: We adjusted the floor plan and added the master bathroom, a three car garage, new exterior back patios and installed a new kitchen. The home was rewired, re-plumbed, and completely transformed.

Sustainability: Instead of doing a major addition the owners chose to use every possible square foot of the existing home to accommodate a large family. In addition, every house part was recycled or reused wherever possible. Lighting, hardware and mirrors were refinished and reinstalled to minimize waste.
